THIS SOFA TREND WILL SURPRISE YOU

Go on, add these two timeless sofas to your interior.

June 6, 2018

If you love slip-covered white linen sofas, then this is your year. Every major sofa brand featured one at Milan Furniture Fair –  offset with a brown leather sofa which is also huge for 2018.  It’s the last word in elegance. Plus white and brown are neutral colours which are easy and peaceful to live with, and don’t date.

The centrepiece of any living room, a sofa sets the tone for your entire room’s design and style. Selecting such a major piece can feel like a daunting task—make the wrong choice and your design could feel askew and impersonal.

Did you know white linen + brown leather are the new IT fabrics for sofas?

The fashion is shifting away from warm wheat-hued fabrics to crisp white for sofas – a classic choice which never dates. We want strong colours. And strong contrasts that lift a room and add instant life. Linen with leather. Cool with warm. Rough with soft.

Leather

It’s all about brown leather, now. If you want to update: just introduce a sofa in natural tan leather (forget black). Brown leather is one of the hottest looks right now. And maintenance is easy: you dust it weekly, and rub a little conditioner over it every couple of months to improve the patina.
