The concept of “trends” has become rather old fashioned, but we think homes and gardens that offer stress relief are taking over. We’re watching out for houses with earthy outsides in sustainably sourced stone that can calm people’s anxiety. Earthier tones help a place feel more lived-in and relaxed. Lifestyle is a driving force. That’s why searches such as”terrace”, “courtyard” and “pools” always come out on the top of Google lists. It’s about harmonious spaces where everything relates - from the smallest detail to the biggest gesture. Many Australian’s sense of reality has fallen apart after the shocking tragedy in Sydney over the weekend. The world we thought we were living in is not the world we’re actually in. It’s beyond words or understanding. Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of those killed during such a senseless attack, and those involved in the response. Looking at a beautiful terrace via @sixsensesrome tonight - as we continue the quest for sense-making in a chaotic and confusing world. Work with the seasons. A lunch in the middle of a great outdoor setting doesn’t need much more than the grass and sky for decor. Keep it simple. Make it look good. Don’t show off. Forget formality. Atmosphere is more important than fancy food.
