Caeserstone has taken off phenomenally since it was launched here in 1999. (Apparently we buy more of it than any other country.) Beige becomes us, says the company, which has developed a custom-palette of its tough, quartz-based stone slabs to suit our harsh Sydney light: great shades of Ginger, Linen, Oyster and Espresso that you can match to your cupboards. Every slab (in the familiar smooth sheen or a textured surface called Viento) is cut to size and comes with a serial number and 10-year warranty. Check out the 13mm thick sheets that can be used as wall cladding, splashbacks, etc.
